Youth combined with truth, that’s what defines Shelton “Ebonics” Long, the 19-year-old Master of Ceremonies from Providence, Rhode Island. Shying away from the stereotyped image of the average rapper with negative messages about murder, sex and drugs, MC Ebonics’ lyrics focus on the truths of life, including dealing with relationship problems and people who aren’t all they seem to be: “Everything I write comes from the heart.”

Mic Mell has been experimenting with different styles of music for over ten years. Having recorded and gigged with projects spanning funk, reggae, hip hop, jazz, rock, lating and electronic of all styles, he is always searching for the fusion of the many sounds of live music with the glitches and clicks of the digital realm. Always involved with a variety of musical projects, Mic strives to create music that is not easily pigeonholed by genre, and stays true to danceable nature. In addition to having several original musical projects, Mic creates music for films, TV and artists in having their musical visions realized.

Polyvibe Records vows to treat their artists as equals and to generously reward them for their hard work. Traditionally, artists are a product to be repackaged into their most marketable commodity. They are sold, paid a tiny percentage of those sales and then discarded when their fiscal usefulness is over.
